Song Joong-ki got the Most Popular Male in TV and IQIYI Star awards and Song Hye Kyo got the Most Popular Female in TV and IQIYI Star awards at the 52nd Baeksang Art Awards.

“Descendants of the Sun” actors Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo were included in a list by Soompi of Hallyu stars who could have been Rio 2016 Olympics athletes.

But fans of the two South Korean actors apparently want them in another list – that of celebrities who are in a romantic relationship and would soon marry. Inquisitr insisted the two would “soon reveal the truth about their relationship.”

The portal cited a comment made by Song Hye Kyo before she made the 16-episode blockbuster that she was willing to marry anyone if a person is nice. The actress then stated love has no national boundaries and is willing to marry a Chinese man, quoting her interview with AllKpop.

But it noted she kept quiet about future marriage plans after “Descendants of the Sun” when she was linked to her co-star, although the two denied and insisted they are just friends. The website noted the tendency of celebrities to hide or deny their relationship until they are cornered and forced to admit, or have already separated.

It cited as another evidence of an alleged relationship with Song Joong-ki the actress sending a coffee truck to the set of “Battleship Island” which Song Joong-ki is filming currently as well as her having allegedly visited the movie set.

Meanwhile, Movie News Guide cited an alleged spotting of the two celebrities in New York City as likely proof of a hidden relationship. Another evidence the entertainment website presented is Song Joong-ki’s previous statement that he does not mind dating a woman older than he. The actor turned 31 this month, while the actress is 34.

With the two insisting their careers are their priorities, the portal said it “can be considered a justified reason for hiding the romance.”
