Pokemon Go: Gyarados has lost the ability to use Dragon Breath; Jigglypuff, Chansey have gained effective charge attacks

Gyarados has lost the ability to use Dragon Breath and Jigglypuff and Chansey have gained effective charge attacks.

According to recent reports, some server-side changes have been made by Niantic Labs that have changed the movesets that several gamers were familiar with.

Given below are the moves that were changed or removed

Mew - Moonblast removed
Koffing - Acid removed
Weezing - Acid removed
Gyarados - Dragon Breath removed

Here are the moves that were changed

Starmie - Psybeam changed to Psychic
Seel - Water Gun to Lick
Omastar - Rock Throw changed to Mud Shot
Muk - Acid to Lick
Mew - Hurricane to Blizzard
Jigglypuff - Play Rough to Dazzling Gleam
Hitmonlee - Stomp to Brick Break
Grimer - Acid to Poison Jab
Gengar - Sludge Wave to Sludge Bomb

Quick attacks that were changed

Starmie-  Quick Attack to Tackle
Porygon - Quick Attack to Zen Headbutt

Mud Shots that were changed to Mud Slap - Graveler, Golem, Dugtrio, Diglett

The removed or new movesets will not change the Pokemon players have. However, they will alter the creature players get in the future. Also, eggs that players got before the patch will have pre-patch moves when they hatch.

After the change, Gyarados is not a powerful Dragonite counter, according to a Reddit user.

The sudden influx of rare and uncommon spawns in all areas is the greatest change to the game. Suburban as well as rural areas are the most impacted by the change.

Also, according to reports, region locked Pokemon such as Mr. Mime and Kangaskhan were appearing with higher frequency on their continents.

In mid-July, the game reached peak 'daily active players', at 45,000,000, and has seen a drop in the numbers since, according to a BGR report.

Players have experienced game-breaking glitches as well as server crashes that made the app hard to play for long stretches of time. Pokemon Go has been running smoothly during this month.

However, the nearby tracking feature is still not functioning as it was when Pokemon Go first released primarily due to a bug. The developer has not been able to fix the bug yet.

Meanwhile, it is said that Nintendo will launch Pokemon Go Plus in September that could provide a big boost to the popularity of the app.
