Qi Hongning makes dough sculptures in Dashizhuang village of Wenfeng district in Anyang, Central China's Henan Province. The 29-year-old man studied pastry cooking at a vocational school. In 2011, he resigned from a restaurant in Zhengzhou as a pastry cook and went to Shenzhen to learn dough sculpting. Qi studied under dough sculpture artist Xiao Zhanhang. A year later, he returned to Anyang and started to receive orders of dough sculpture.
