MacBook Pro 2016 updates: $100 off MBP, $200 off MacBook Air and more

Apple is gearing up for the much-awaited release of the iPhone 7 this September. Expected to come out as well alongside it is the latest iOS 10 and the Apple Watch 2.

With regards to rumors that the MacBook Pro 2016 would be joining the party, the best time for the latest Apple laptop could be in the fall, Apple Insider reported. This was the same take that KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had previously stated.

The reason for this is obvious. Apple cannot afford to stage an event where the attention will be divided between the iPhone 7 and the MacBook Pro 2016. The Cupertino company has already had its share of struggles, including falling sales.

The iPhone 7 is not expected to draw raves though it is still expected to sell. The only difference is that compared to previous models, the numbers may not be as impressive.

To recap, the iPhone 7 is expected to be similar to the iPhone 6s. It will be thinner, armed with new processors, come with new biometric security and an expected improved camera. Apple has held of any major redesign plans for 2017, particularly for the iPhone 8.

For the MacBook Pro 2016, it may come with less than impressive features as well. According to Bloomberg, the only bright spot for the laptop is that it would be the first upgrade since four years ago.

Among the expected features that the MacBook Pro 2016 will have include a thinner make, Skylake processors, a more powerful GPU chip and a much talked about OLED touch interface that will take the place of the old function keys.

While the belief is that Apple will unveil the MacBook Pro 2016 before the year ends, many are speculating how it will be done. A special event could be held while others are suggesting a simple blog post to announce its arrival.

Either way, the Macbook Pro 2016 is seen as a more feasible product Apple loyalists will seriously look into. With the long wait, it could provide a small glimmer of hope on arresting the Cupertino company’s sales skid.
