The Freeform series "Pretty Little Liars" has featured a head-dropping midseason 7 finale that shocked many fans. The series' showrunner has recently shared that the upcoming final season will unveil some of the characters' secrets, as well as a few joyous events.

The end of the Freeform series' Season 7A has taken many fans by surprise with some of its plot twists and gory death scene. Showrunner Marlene King has revealed some of the story developments that viewers can expect in the upcoming "Pretty Little Liars" Season 7B, TVLine reported.

King shared that first episode of the "Pretty Little Liars" final season will not feature an extended time jump. She commented that episode 11, titled "Playtime," will continue just a few moments after episode 10 that aired on Aug. 30. The series' executive producer also mentioned that the identity of Charlotte's (Vanessa Ray) father will finally be revealed, along with the revelation of Troian Bellisario's Spencer's backstory.

She stated that fans of Sara Shepard's novel may be familiar with Spencer's birth secret. King made mention of the character's adoption which was featured in the books. She hinted that the same plot line may be featured in the Season 7B.

Apart from Spencer's backstory, viewers will also see a familiar face in upcoming episodes. Julian Morris' Wren is set to return to Rosewood and will appear in several episodes. The said character's first scene in Season 7B will be with Ian Harding's Ezra. King shared that Wren's introductory scene with Ezra was requested by Morris given the two actors' close friendship.

Elsewhere in the upcoming final season, Alison's (Sasha Pieterse) pregnancy will impact Shay Mitchell's Emily the most, according to King. She also teased that fans will see more than one wedding in Season 7B. However, she did not disclose the identity of the soon-to-be-married couples.

Meanwhile, Brant Daugherty has shared an interesting information about his head-rolling death scene in the show's midseason 7 finale. Daugherty portrayed the character Noah whose head was decapitated in the said episode. In a Facebook Live chat with Variety, the actor revealed that the production team did not use a prosthetic head to shoot the scene.

He shared that he had to tumble down the stairs to capture the head-rolling scene. The production team then removed the actor's body from the said sequence through special effects.

Avid viewers can learn more about the fate of beloved characters when "Pretty Little Liars" Season 7B returns to the small screens in April 2017.
