After some years of speculation that Dwayne Johnson would star in an adaptation of DC Comics, this seemed that the star was given the go-ahead to tease his role in the movie Shazam with Warner Bros. Such tease had given in an interview with the TotalFilm offered least ambiguous information yet.

Warner Bros. had revealed the incredible slate of the anticipated DC movies and SHAZAM was dated on April 2019, according to JoBlo. This is actually a long wait for movies. However, knowing that there is a presence of a bright star, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, moving it a little quicker is also ideal. This has been suggested by Johnson at the Academy Awards recently when he was asked about his movie. Like Arnold talks about Terminator sequels, the date for Shazam remains unofficial until the studio gives signal.

Johnson told MTV, "It may happen a little earlier than what has been predicted. The script is coming in, it's great, the support from the studio has been great, and it's just a great opportunity especially with Black Adam where you can take a guy who starts off as a bad guy, turns into an anti-hero, we can make him vicious, a little bit of winking charm."

According to Super Hero Hype, Johnson also confirmed that they are not yet sure who will be playing the titular hero in this film. Jack the Giant Slayer scribed Darren Lemke currently pens the Shazam script. It was set for release on the Apr. 5, 2019, a month before the "Avengers: Infinity War Part II of Marvel."

Shazam unveils the story of a teenager named Billy Batson, who transforms into a superhero every time he mentions the magic word "Shazam!" John, as Black Adam in the movie, will star as a lead antagonist.
