Death rumors are not new to celebrities. In March, Chinese actor Jackie Chan was reported to have allegedly died in a car accident in Queensland, Australia.

On Saturday, Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone was the subject of another internet rumor claiming that CNN allegedly showed his corpse at his home in Los Angeles, reported Morning Ledger. It cited a Facebook post which had gone viral, alleging that a so-called CNN video showed the “Rambo” and “Rocky” star discovered dead by his housekeeper.

Other reports said that prescription pills were allegedly found at the scene, although the cause of the actor’s death was not specified. Screenshots of the alleged CNN video were shared across social media sites. It turned out the CNN story was about the death of Stallone’s son, Sage, in 2012.

Besides Jackie Chan and Stallone, other celebrities hit by death hoax in the past include Vin Diesel, Nicholas Cage, Jaden Smith, Jim Carey, John Cena and Angelina Jolie.

Snopes, a website dedicated to debunking internet rumors, noted that the Facebook post was linked to a clickbait website notorious for creating and sharing death hoaxes of celebrities. Those who would fall for the ruse would click the provided link which would redirect them to a pop-up asking permission to view their personal information.

The last time Stallone posted on social media was on Aug. 30, 2016, showing himself riding a fancy motorcycle.
