Josh Barnett of the United States leaves the Octagon after losing by submission to Ben Rothwell of the United States (not pictured) in the second round of their heavyweight bout during the UFC Fight Night event at the Prudential Center on January 30, 2016

With his recent win in UFC Fight Night 93 against Andrei Arlovsi in Hamburg. Germany, Josh Barnett a.k.a. "The Warmaster" is looking for his next challenge already and sets his sights on the Heavyweight championship... but not expecting it.

With a championship bout between Alstair Overeem and UFC Heavyweight Champion to be held at the Qucken Loans Arena on September 10, 2016, Barnett is not expecting a call to fight for the world championship but hopes it would happen soon.

"I don't think in those modalities," Barnett said through MMAFighting.com

"I think of just being able to perform at my best at any given moment, completely living in that immediate now. At this point, guys like me and Andre, we've already won belts."

Still, the Warmaster, believes that he is one of the top heavyweight talents will just prepare on the upcoming challenges that the UFC has in store for him.

"You've got [Alistair] Overeem, there's a slew of guys out there, of us in the heavyweight division that have proven that we are capable of being the world champion. Anywhere you put us. We're always ready to take the challenge, and it's always acceptable for us to be in the title fight."

Barnet is already preparing for whatever happens. The championship fight could even come sooner but he stressed out that he should be ready at all times.

"If Overeem got injured out of nowhere or something, Andrei, myself, whomever, there are several of us out there that can slide right in and fight in that match, and that's completely legitimate," Barnett said.

Barnett is currently holding a 35-8 fighting record after the win over Arlovski and has won 3 out of his 5 fights in the UFC.

Even so, Barnett is hopeful for a title fight.

"But the biggest thing that we can control is going out there and our performances that lie in front of us. It's one at a time, and I'm sure a heavyweight championship fight could be in the future. But right now, all I was concerned with was fighting Andrei, taking him very seriously, and doing what I could to come out on top, and then moving on from there."
