Roman Reigns is one of the most controversial superstars in the WWE for the past couple years and he is loved by some but hated by many. Reigns is also a cheater, according to more than 3,700 fans who wants the WWE to remove his illegal vest.
It is not the first controversy and bad news The Guy has been involved in the last several months. He still gets booed out of the building despite all the things WWE has done for him to get over. He also lost the WWE World Championship and he was suspended for 30 days in June for violating the Wellness Policy.
Reigns has been demoted to the midcard and now more than 3,700 wrestling fans wants him to get rid of his Kevlar vest because it is illegal. According to a petition from Change.org, the three-time WWE champion is using an illegal vest to protect himself against his opponents.
"Roman Reigns has been systematically breaking the rules of Admiral-Lord Mountevans Unified Rules of Professional Wrestling through the use of illegal body armor to protect himself during the course of matches with legitimately dressed competitors, and has been doing so throughout his career," the petition reads.
This petition is clearly just a way to troll Reigns and the WWE but it might be a great idea to rebuild the character of The Big Dog. He has been wearing that vest ever since he made his debut in 2012 as part of The Shield.
The trio of Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose has been broken up for more than two years. However, The Guy has not removed himself from the shadow of The Shield, unlike his former stablemates.
Rollins and Ambrose developed new characters with new ring gears and they have different entrance music that makes them standout. On the other hand, Reigns still looks like a member of The Shield and his theme music is just an altered version of their old theme.
According to Daily DDT, the WWE should just pull the trigger on a Reigns heel turn. The report pointed out that it would be the best for business and the career of The Guy. He is just entering his prime and he will get over once he gets to show a new and more realistic character.
