“Pokemon Go Appraisals” is the latest feature that Niantic has unleashed for its popular augmented reality game. The new feature identifies the strengths and weaknesses of the character picked for battle, aiding players on what capabilities and chances it will have in melees
The introduction of ‘Appraisals’ will address the old practice of seeking advice from team leaders at gyms. With the improved way of rendering assessment, the fact is that unless “Pokemon Go” players understand how to use the assessments, all of it will be futile.
While the new feature rolled out seems pretty neat, the fact is that Niantic failed to aid it with the proper explanation for players to understand and use, BGR reported. Hence, further elaboration may be needed to maximize its use.
Assuming that player have already updated their “Pokemon Go” app to version 1.5.0 (for iOS) or 0.35.0 (for Android), the feature should be available in the game menu by now. Using it is pretty easy since all players have to do is tap on the Pokemon in their inventory and appraise it using the circular menu button at the bottom-part of the screen.
Depending on what team a player may be, either “Blanche”, “Candela” or “Spark” will appear to analyze the Pokemon of your choice. The tricky part here is taking note of their assessment and understanding how to use that the next time you go into battle.
“Pokemon Go” players come from different niches with much likely having a hard time coping up and understanding. Team leaders will be using cryptic messages that may be hard to comprehend. Thankfully there are charts and guides that can help ease that burden, Forbes reported.
Assessment will cover the individual values, top stats and size of the Pokemon players want to have assessed. The ‘appraisal’ feature will need effort on the part of players in the form of analysis, using the numbers on the screen that racks up the probabilities of success in battles.
The numbers crunch will be helpful but somehow pointless according to Forbes. Apparently, battles still fall on logistics and how players are able to maneuver themselves in the game. The only thing that “Pokemon Go” appraisals bring is the ‘odds’, a similar thing many may have come across in sports events.
