‘Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’ Bundles Special ‘Jackal Assault’ PSVR Game; New ‘Infinite Warfare’ Trailer Reveals Combat Rigs

Activision has announced that the “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” will launch with a special “Jackal Assault” PSVR game for free for PlayStation 4 gamers, this November.

“Announcing the Jackal Assault, a Call of Duty @PlayStation VR experience, coming free for all PS4 Infinite Warfare players,” tweeted Activision in the official “Call of Duty” Twitter account.

The special VR game that will be bundled-in with “Infinite Warfare” will probably have the players pilot the Jackal spaceship from campaign mode while shooting at things, according to VG 24/7.

The “Jackal Assault” will require the PlayStation VR headset. There is not much information about the new PSVR game as of now. However, Activision is expected to reveal more details in the coming weeks.

In other news, Activision has also revealed that the “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” multiplayer beta will start on Oct. 14, initially for PS4. Xbox One gamers will be able to get their hands on multiplayer beta at a later date, which is to be revealed. It is not yet announced that which modes, classes and maps will be available for beta.

Late last week, Infinity Ward has released two trailers that overview the multiplayer aspect of the upcoming “Call of Duty” game. As for the biggest inclusion in “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare,” the six Combat Rigs - Warfighter, Merc, FTL, Stryker, Synaptic and Phantom, is described as being built around six distinct gameplay styles.

Each Combat Rig in “Infinite Warfare,” comprises of three different payloads and three unique perks named as traits. Gamers will be able to select any payload and trait as they wish to create different styles.

Warfighter, which can be considered for an objective-focused play, packs Claw, Combat Focus, and Overdrive payloads along with Ping, Persistence and Resupply traits. Merc, a defensive-minded Combat Rig, comes with Steel Dragon, Bull Charge and Reactive Armor payloads, with Man-At-Arms, Infusion and Shockwave traits. FTL payloads include Eraser, FTL Jump and Phase Shift, that combines with Power Slide, Supercharge and Perception as traits.

Stryker, a support-focused Combat Rig, brings Gravity Vortex Gun, Micro Turret and Centurion as payloads and Trophy Drone, Relay and Hardened as traits. Phantom features Ballista EM3, Active Camo and Pulsar as payloads, with Marked Target, Rearguard and Heightened Senses as traits. Synaptic Combat Rig packs payloads - Rewind, Reaper and Equalizer, with traits - Rushdown, Propulsion and Combat Burst.

“Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” launches on Nov. 4, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with the special “Jackal Assault” game for PlayStation VR.
