"Girl Meets World" star Rowan Blanchard recently hinted on the possible renewal of the hit Disney Channel show for season 4.

While speaking with She Knows, Blanchard said that she doesn't really know for sure if "Girl Meets World" will be renewed or cancelled. What she only knows is that she and her co-stars all want to be able to continue their respective characters' stories for as long as possible.

"I know as much as you do. We are hoping for a season 4, obviously, because we want to continue our story, and I feel like it's an important story to tell. But as of right now, we just finished filming season 3 and we're still waiting on the word. But we do have more episodes coming out this year that air into early 2017, so we're covered for a little bit," she said.

Meanwhile, the 14-year-old actress also weighed in on the love triangle storyline between Riley (Blanchard), Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) and Lucas (Peyton Meyer). Even though the controversial storyline has already been resolved in season 3, there are still some issues surrounding the three characters.

According to Blanchard, the relationship between Riley, Maya and Lucas will continue to throughout the rest of season 3 because it is the most important relationship in the show.

"People are always asking, 'What do you 'ship': Riley Lucas or Maya Lucas?' And the entire time, the whole show has been about Riley and Maya's friendship and how powerful it is and how it can withstand anything. We just used the triangle kind of as a metaphor for how Riley and Maya will never let a boy get between them, which I think is something we can really teach young girls because young girls are taught to cater to boys and to always be obsessed with them. I think our show definitely values sisterhood as its main theme," she explained.

In other news, Blanchard is happy with the response that the show and the characters are receiving from the fans week in and week out. According to her, "Girl Meets World" is so relatable because it is somewhat a reflection of how adults think of children.

"Girl Meets World" season 3 airs Fridays at 8:30 p.m. ET on Disney Channel.
