Newly-promoted clubs Burnley FC (1-2-0, 3 points) Hull City FC (2-1-0, 6 points) are set to face one another in a 2016-2017 Premier League season encounter on Saturday, Sep. 10 at the former's home field of Turf Moor.

The two clubs are promoted to the English top flight this season together with Middlesbrough FC after topping the Championship competitions last term. Burnley finished as the champions of the English second division domestic league while Hull City advanced via a playoffs after placing fourth in the standings.

Burnley had an uneven start to their Premier League campaign so far after losing two and winning one in alternating fashion their first three games of the season.

After dropping a close 0-1 game to Swansea City in their opener, the Clarets then surprised contending team Liverpool, 2-0, at their home ground during their second game.

In their third and most recent fixture, the team was whitewashed by current league leaders Chelsea FC, 3-0, on the road at the Stamford Bridge on Aug. 27 to bring them back to their senses after the team's previous remarkable win, SkySports reported.

Head coach Sean Dyche's men were not able to respond against the Blues' attacks all game long, succumbing to the three-goal shutout with Eden Hazard, Willian, and Victor Moses scoring a goal each at the ninth, 41st, and 89th minutes respectively.

Meanwhile, Hull City had a much better start in their return to the Premier League, winning their first two matches against defending champions Leicester City and struggling team Swansea City before finally succumbing to powerhouse club Manchester United in their third game, 0-1, at the KC Stadium on Aug. 27, as per BBC Sport.

Teenage striker Marcus Rashford netted the winning goal in the contest to give head coach Mike Phelan's side their first loss this term.
