After a long hiatus, Se7en, whose real name is Choi Dong-Wook, is stepping back into the limelight. The 31-year-old singer will finally return to the music spotlight with a new mini album.
"Se7en will be returning with what will most likely be a mini album," Se7en's management agency, Eleven9 Entertainment, said in a statement obtained by The Kpop Herald. "He contributed to both songwriting and producing all of the tracks that will appear in the upcoming album."
The singer will also appear in various music events and television shows. Se7en's untitled mini album is scheduled to be released in October.
This will mark Se7en first comeback since February 2012. The performing artist halted major public and broadcast appearance after a prostitution outrage on June 23, 2013.
At the time of the incident, Se7en allegedly visited a massage parlor, famous for prostitution, while on mandatory military duty. He received ten days in military jail for his action.
In July, Se7en then thanked all his fans for supporting him all through the hard times by releasing a self-composed track titled "I'm Good." It has been his first track since leaving YG Entertainment.
"This is a song I wrote as I thought all of you who have given me courage and hope when I wanted to give up on everything," Se7en said in a statement obtained by Soompi. "I sincerely thank everyone who is always by my side, supporting me and believing me and has enabled me to start again."
In other news, Se7en and actress Lee Da-Hae are confirmed dating. Both Eleven9 Entertainment and JS Pictures confirmed that the couple has been dating for the past seven months.
It is said that the two stars became lovers after several years of being close friends. Photos of Se7en and Lee's supposed date in Thailand has been widely circulated online.
