Following the yearly event of iPhone, Apple announced the unveiling and release of the newest Mac operating system, September 20 as The Verge reported. Together with the release of the new Mac operating system is the announcement of the free installation of the MacOS Sierra Public Beta 7.

What comes with the MacOS Sierra is the apparent change in name scheme of the Apple's Mac operating system line up which better confirms with the TVOS and with the WatchOS. The modification in the name casting also shows the apparent retirement and the end of the OS X series lineup.

The major additions and upgrades this year are Siri for Mac operating system, better syncing capability of the files with the iCloud, the universal clipboard which allows users to share and transfer copied files between Apple gadgets, and the picture-in-picture mode for some apps such as Safari and iTunes.

Another cool feature of the MacOS Sierra is the Continuity feature which is now allowing the Apple Watch to unlock the Apple Mac computer.

One fresh feature found on the MacOS Sierra operating system according to Macworld is the tapback in the messages app. The tackbacks let the users to response to a text message with reactions without a need to type words such as 'LOL'. In the same fashion as of Facebook Reactions, users may react to messages received by just clicking the thumbs down or up icon, a heart icon, a question mark and more.

The Apple Pay is another new added feature of MacOS Sierra operating system to watch out for. In the buy pages of several merchants, the Apple Pay icon will now be available. What buyers can do is just verify their purchases by the use of the Touch ID technology through the Apple Watch or the iPhone.

When it comes to the cost of the MacOS Sierra, users will be glad with the news informing that it is free to be updated when used with the appropriate compatible equipment devices. This comes with the pattern Apple has been following since 2013, with the inception of OS X Mavericks.
