1. WWE World Champion Dean Ambrose vs. AJ Styles: This is the second time Ambrose and Styles would face each other, the last time they went one-on-one on each other was on WWE Raw on June 27, 2016. Also, Ambrose would be defending his title for the fifth time, noted ESPN.
2. SmackDown Women's Championship Six-Pack Challenge featuring Becky Lynch, Natalya, Nikki Bella, Alexa Bliss, Carmella and Naomi
3. Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt: If Wyatt wins this match against Orton then he may have shot at the WWE World Championship later.
4. The Usos/Hype Bros. vs. Heath Slater - SmackDown Tag Team Championship Tournament Final
5. Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler: If Ziggler wins this match then it would be his fifth Intercontinental Championship win. WWE Backlash 2016 would be the third time The Miz and Ziggler have faced each other in a pay-per-view event.

Wrestling Inc. has shared the latest betting odds for the upcoming WWE pay-per-view event Backlash.
1. WWE Intercontinental Championship: Dolph Ziggler is priced at -510 and The Miz is at +340.
2. WWE Championship: AJ Styles is priced at -900 while his opponent Dean Ambrose is placed at +500.
3. WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship Finals: Hype Bros are at +600 while The Usos are placed at -1200.
4. WWE SmackDown Women's Championship Six-Pack Challenge: Nikki Bella is priced at +300, Becky Lynch is at -490, Alexa Bliss is placed at +4000, Natalya is at +3500, Naomi is placed at +5500 and Carmella is priced at +5500.
