‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 spoilers hint at Euron-Cersei alliance, sea battle, potential Yara or Theon capture

Avid fans of the hit HBO series "Game of Thrones" have been anticipating the show's return to the small screens. Latest spoiler news indicates of a potential Euron Greyjoy and Cersei Lannister partnership, as well as other interesting plot details.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 will mark the show's penultimate season where story progressions such as a massive battle and other character developments are expected to happen. The sixth season of the HBO series has already shown Jon Snow's (Kit Harington) resurrection, Sansa Stark's (Sophie Turner) strong leadership abilities and a glimpse at Daenerys' (Emilia Clarke) armada of battleships.

Latest "Game of Thrones" spoilers posted at Watchers on the Wall indicated that Season 7 may feature an alliance between Euron (Pilou Asbaek) and Cersei (Lena Headey). However, details about Euron and Cersei's partnership and their future plans were not disclosed. Although loyal viewers of the HBO show may expect to see more mayhem given the two characters' deadly tandem.

Apart from Asbaek's character's alliance with the newly crowned Queen of the Iron Throne, Euron may also get the chance to defeat one of the Sand Snakes in Season 7, as indicated in the same report. The said character will also go on a voyage to try and capture one of the Greyjoy siblings, Yara (Gemma Whelan) and Theon (Alfie Allen).

Some of the filming activities at the HBO series' Belfast location has also focused on Yara and Theon's upcoming naval battle. It appears that Euron will be able to catch up with the two siblings at sea, as stated in the same report. The said scene also hints of a big sea encounter between Asbaek's character and Daenerys' troops.

In other news, "Game of Thrones" recently nabbed nine awards from the Creative Arts Emmy event held on Saturday, Sept. 10, according to a report posted on The Hollywood Reporter. The HBO show has been awarded for its costumes, production design, sound mixing and stunt coordination. The series also received an award for its casting, make-up for both non-prosthetic and prosthetic categories, as well as its special visual effects.

The TV adaptation of George RR Martin's "A Song of Fire and Ice" is also expected to receive more accolades in the upcoming Primetime Emmy Awards to air on Sunday, Sept. 18.
