WWE latest rumors: Randy Orton still feeling effects of Brock Lesnar beating

Randy Orton is still dealing with concussion issues though he may just meet Bray Wyatt at WWE No Mercy.

Randy Orton is still feeling the effects of the beating he took from Brock Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam, something that forced him out of WWE Backlash. He did return during a live event but was noticeably spared from physical bumps.

Orton was booked to face Bray Wyatt at the recent pay-per-view though there were already feelers before the event that he may be pulled out. The WWE came up with a segment where Wyatt attacked Orton. Kane eventually filled in for Orton and came out with a win over the “Eater of Worlds”, WWE.com reported.

Despite his state, Orton was curiously booked at a live event where he teamed up with John Cena against the Wyatts. The short match saw Orton and Cena coming away with the win though it was obvious that Orton was spared from bumps, Pro Wrestling Sheet reported.

From here, it will be interesting how the WWE would treat Orton’s current state. He was at WWE SmackDown recently to address the alleged blindside made by Wyatt on Orton at WWE Backlash, WWE.com reported.

Orton issued a challenge on the spot but the whole segment was nothing more than a mind game between the two. Wyatt briefly appeared behind Orton but eventually disappeared when the arena lights flickered.

The only physical altercation involved Erick Rowan who attacked the “Viper” from behind. Orton managed to fend off the attack and eventually landed his RKO on the Wyatt sheep.

The RKO may seem to hint that Orton is well and good but it pales in comparison to the hits that the “Legend Killer” can withstand. In the live event, that was the only move Orton was able to contribute meaning his state of health is still up for debate.

There is a chance that the Orton vs. Wyatt feud may be added to No Mercy, the next event lined up. One match has already been booked and this involves WWE heavyweight champion AJ Styles who puts his title on the line against Dean Ambrose and John Cena. Will Orton vs. Wyatt be added as well?

Check out that sneak attack by Wyatt on the Sept. 13 edition of WWE SmackDown below.
