Three Generations Of Cloned Mice

Scientists were able to find a new method to produce the mice offspring. Scientists have discovered a process of fertilization with the sperm cells in mice without the need of egg cells.

The scientists' result of the experiments says that it could be possible to produce babies without the fertilization of egg cells, BBC reported. The scientists have done the experiment in a way that the mice' sperm cells are deceived that they are actually doing the fertilization of the real egg cells.

The researchers of Nature Communications say that it could be possible that the women's egg cells would not be needed in the fertilization process with the sperm cells. The researchers of University of Bath initially used unfertilized egg cells.

With the utilization of the chemicals, the scientists are able to deceive it into transforming into a pseudo- embryo. The regular cells like the skin cells are identical with the pseudo-embryos in the method that DNA replicates and divide.

The scientists say the sperm cell fertilization without the egg cells is possible because with the mice experiments, the reproduction of mice pups have been successful with the injection of sperms in the fake embryos. The probability of successfully producing the mice offspring with the fertilization of sperm cells without the egg cells is one-fourths as the result of the experiments show.

This experiment of sperm cell fertilization without the egg cells in mice also helps us with our fight against the diseases like cancer, as reported by Time. Anthony Perry, the scientist from University of Bath said that in diseases such as cancer we could be able to get to know how the impaired cells multiply or replicate. Because of the findings from the sperm cell fertilization without the egg cells in mice experiments, they were able to study the mechanism of the cell replication in the embryo.

There are many apparent impacts of this for any medical situation, as when the fertilization happens, the cellular modifications depend on the extreme change. The infertility in humans could be possibly solved with the fertilization utilizing newly discovered methods.
