'Civilization 6' release date, news & updates: Pericles to lead and head Greece in the gameplay

Players will be able to play Pericles, one of the well-known statesman and orator from the past as the Firaxis turn-based strategy game arrives next month.

The "Civilization 6" leader is said to be an Athenian general, an influential statesman and also orator. Pericles noticeable achievement is the successful repulsion of the invading Persians back in 478 BC. The new leader lived during what is known as the Golden Age of Athens, when the city-state exerted strong cultural influence and experienced a robust economic growth.

In a newly released "Civilization 6" trailer, Greece is identified as having a unique ability called Plato's Republic which gives gamers an extra wild card the government they choose notwithstanding. Finally, Pericles' ability called Surrounded by Glory will be of advantage to players of the "Civilization 6" game. His ability basically gives additional for bonus to the civ, making it an ideal all-around and powerful early game civ.

To play "Civilization 6" game, players needs to have at least 2 GB RAM and a minimum of 15 GB free hard disk space. Other system requirements include at least an Intel Core2 Duo E6300 or similar caliber processor and an NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT 512MB for the graphics card, Reddit reported.

"Civilization 6" release is slated for Oct. 21, 2016 and will give gamers a chance to test their world domination tendencies.
