2NE1 CL's "Lifted" music video has gained popularity on YouTube with viewership ratings at an all-time high. The South Korean singer and rapper also debuted a live performance of the song on "The Late Late Show with James Corden."
The "Lifted" music video has reached the 10 million viewership mark on YouTube, according to All Kpop. The 2NE1 group member's American single was released in mid-August, as well as its funky music video. A month after its debut, the said clip has posted an impressive number of views from YouTubers and avid fans.
The South Korean singer's "Lifted" track marked CL's official solo venture into the American music industry. The musician has previously released two informal tracks in 2014 and 2015. Meanwhile, CL's latest song has also landed on the Billboard's Social 50 chart shortly after its U.S. release.
Prior to the singer and songwriter's U.S. debut, she has been a part of the Korean girl group 2NE1 with members Park Bom, Sandara Park, as well as Minky who left the band in the early part of the year. The said girl group has been on a hiatus, although several reports hinted of the band's impending return to the Korean entertainment scene.
On the other hand, CL's recent appearance in the U.S. program "The Late Late Show with James Corden" that aired on Sept. 15, Thursday, marked the first time that the singer performed "Lifted" live, Billboard reported. She wowed the show's audience, as well as host Corden, with her powerful stage performance. CL also showed off her dancing skills as she displayed some of the moves featured in the "Lifted" music video.
CL has even managed to have Corden sing a few lines of the song during her "The Late Late Show" performance. The show's host sang alongside the Korean musician during the said track's chorus, as indicated in the same report. Corden also made mention of CL's rising popularity as he described her as one of the music industry's hottest pop stars.
The South Korean singer and rapper is expected to continue promotional activities for her new song "Lifted." She is said to appear in several TV programs and radio shows in the coming weeks.
