A longer version of the synopsis for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie "Doctor Stranger" has been unveiled. The recently released movie summary has provided a detailed outline of Benedict Cumberbatch's character's journey.

Several reports have previously shared what fans can expect from the upcoming film "Doctor Strange." However, the latest synopsis that has been revealed in Irish movie theaters has unveiled a more detailed look at Cumberbatch's film, according to Cosmic Book News.

The updated movie summary recounted the story of the British actor's character Dr. Stephen Strange, from his car accident to his journey into the world of magic and mysticism. The synopsis, similar to previous reports, has teased of Strange's quest to find a way to regain the use of his hands after his accident. The character's healing journey will lead him to the mysterious Kamar Taj where he meets the Ancient One.

The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie will also feature Strange's role in a battle with "unseen dark forces" whose mission is to destroy the world's reality. The said synopsis also hinted of Cumberbatch character's inner turmoil to become a powerful sorcerer tasked to defend the world or to return to his former life as a high-profile and highly successful surgeon.

The said synopsis may have provided a detailed summary of the movie but it did not contain new information about the upcoming film. However, some fans may take interest on how it hinted of Strange's inner conflict to choose between his old and new life.

Apart from Cumberbatch, the upcoming Marvel film will include the Academy Award-winning actress Tilda Swinton who will portray the role of the Ancient One. The said character will serve as Strange's mentor in the world of magic.

Although Swinton's casting has gained some backlash from fans given the character's original Asian ethnic background in the "Doctor Strange" comic books. However, director Scott Derrickson defended the actress's casting in an interview with Los Angeles Daily News. He made mention of introducing diversity in films and that Swinton's role as the Ancient One has been a conscious decision among the movie's showrunners.

"Doctor Strange" is slated to hit movie theaters on Nov. 4. Watch the trailer below:
