"Gotham" Season 3 premiere saw James Gordon return to work not as a cop but a bounty hunter. Also, he meets a journalist Valerie Vale, who wants to work with Gordon to find Fish Mooney. As for Bruce Wayne, he is still on a look out for people who killed his parents and his doppleganger roams about the city of Gotham. Later, he is kidnapped by the Court of Owls and Penguin is in power again.

Moving on to "Gotham" Season 3 episode 2. According to Spoiler TV's description for "Burn the Witch," Fish Mooney springs into action as she goes after Hugo Strange. She is determined to get to Strange, but will she be able to catch him? Given the current situation, Gordon is forced to join hands with Valerie Vale as he is on the mission to find Fish Mooney.

As for Penguin, he continues to rise in popularity and power. He publicly criticizes the work of GCPD which works in his advantage. In addition, Bruce Wayne's investigation of the Court of Owls is compromised.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, "Gotham" Executive Producer Ken Woodruff talked about the premiere cliffhanger and revealed what to expect in the upcoming episodes. Woodruff promises answers about Wayne's kidnapping will be revealed in Season 3 episode 2.

"The whole next episode will answer that and deal with that," Woodruff said. The short answer is that Bruce is a really powerful symbol and the Wayne name is really powerful. They don't want to kill him because they want to use him or potentially turn him to their side and recruit him. Or maybe they do want to kill him but they're just not ready yet. Their plan isn't ready and they need to buy some time. There's a ton of clarity coming in the next episode, but there are some questions that stretch this mystery over the course of the season."

"Gotham" Season 3 episode 2 airs Sept. 26 at 8:00 pm on FOX. Stay tuned for more spoilers and updates.
