Arrow is CW Network series developed by writer/producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg.

New details and spoilers for "Arrow" season 5 will feature Deathstroke's possible return, new team arrow, Cody Rhodes' character and Prometheus first appearance.

CW Network streamed a new trailer for "Arrow" season 5 which feature Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) fight crime as both Mayor of Star City by day and vigilante by night. Oliver will also have a new Team Arrow on his side consisting of Curtis Holt/Mr. Terrific (Echo Kellum), Jack Wheeler/Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez), Evelyn Sharp/ Artemis (Madison McLaughlin) and Rory Regan/Ragman. Adrian Chase/Vigilante (Josh Segarra) has not yet made in appearance in the show's trailer or behind-the-scenes photos.

Executive Producer Wendy Mericle explained that dynamics of each character and what they bring to Team Arrow. For instance, Artemis will be mold into a better hero since Oliver helped during the events of season 4, while Wild Dog will provide a challenge and difficulty for Oliver due to his personality and Ragman will show more of his religious and spiritual side providing the moral grounds for the team

"Arrow" season 5 will also feature new villains terrorizing Star City such as gang leader Tobias Church (Chad L. Coleman), an unknown character played by former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes, and this season's main villain Prometheus.

Mericle stated Prometheus was created because of Oliver's action in season 1 and judging by his appearance in the show, he will represent a dark mirror to Green Arrow and will be as strong, fast and likely more cunning than Oliver. Prometheus will have a grudge against Oliver and will go after him in a "sociopathic" kind of way, JoBlo reported.

In other news, it seems that Slade Wilson/Deathstroke (Manu Bennett) will likely return to the "Arrow" TV series soon.

Series star Stephen Amell addressed a fans question during the Salt Lake Comic-Con event the regarding the status of Deathstroke in the Arrowverse now that Warner Bros. confirmed that the character will appear in the DC Extended Universe via Ben Affleck's solo Batman film.

The "Arrow" star stated that it is something that people bring up on a regular basis and just because there may or may not be a Deathstroke in the DC Extended Universe it does not mean Manu Bennett cannot exist on their show, Screenrant reported.

With that in mind, there is still a chance that Deathstroke could still appear on "Arrow" anytime soon either on season 5 up until season 7.

"Arrow" season 5 will premier on Oct. 5 on the CW Network.
