"Attack on Titan" Season 2 will focus on overthrowing the king, and revealing the real identities of various characters.

Since "Attack on Titan" Season 2 is nowhere near its release date, Hajime Isayama have written additional story arcs, titled "Clash of Titans" and "Uprising," to cover the entire Season 2.

In the most recent news, it is said that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will have two new arcs based on the manga version. Accordingly, additional storyline, including "Clash of the Titans" covering 15 chapters and "Uprising" which has 36 chapters, have just been added by the "Attack on Titan" writer Hajime Isayama. Many consider that the number of chapters in each story arc will suffice to have Season 2 released earlier in small screens.

Rumor has it that the inclusion of the "Clash of Titans" has always been expected by fans, after the release of the promotional posters of the series clearly shows Colossal Titan trying to get into the walls while other characters are fighting against another titan. Meanwhile, "Uprising" revolves around the murder of Minister Nick and the attempted abduction of Eren and Historia.

Aside from the rumored additional storylines in "Attack on Titan" Season 2, fans are also waiting for the announcement of other main plot for the next season. There are speculations that the plot of the manga, "Shingeki No Kyojin," will be followed, although some still thinks that there might be some deviations from the original material.

Nevertheless, reports also suggest that the anime will start off the season with the episode titled "Basement," which is also a chapter in the manga series. If this is true, then "Attack on Titan" Season 2 episode 1 will revolve around the realization of Armin, Levi, Sasha, Eren, and Mikasa that they are the only ones standing after a fight with titans, and that the death of Chief Erwin, Betolt and Hanji are next in line to lead the Corps.

In other news, it is rumored that director Tetsuro Araki is prioritizing "Attack on Titan" Season 2, which is why another anime series, titled "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress," that needs subsequent installment is put on hold.

"Attack on Titan" Season 2 is expected to hit the small screens later in 2017.
