Girl Meets World Season 3

"Girl Meets World" season 3 stars Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter recently slammed Disney Channel for not renewing the TV show for a fourth season.

According to Game N Guide, "Girl Meets World" will be replaced by the '90s show "Boy Meets World." However, this report was never confirmed by the representatives from the network. There is also no confirmation about Blanchard and Carpenter throwing shade at the network.

Meanwhile, a Change.org petition was recently created to urge the network to renew "Girl Meets World" for another season. However, the page has only solicited more than 16,000 likes which is way behind its 25,000 goal. "So, currently we haven't gotten signed for season 4 and all GMW fans can agree that we want another season of 'Girl Meets World' and we don't want it to end with 3 seasons. So we would like to get another season of 'Girl Meets World.' It's the best show on Disney Channel and if it gets cancelled they'll lose a lot of viewers."

In other news, Blanchard previously shared her insights about the possible cancellation of the once-hit TV series. While speaking with She Knows, Blanchard said that she herself is unaware of the updates from the network. "I know as much as you do. We are hoping for a season 4, obviously, because we want to continue our story, and I feel like it's an important story to tell. But as of right now, we just finished filming season 3 and we're still waiting on the word. But we do have more episodes coming out this year that air into early 2017, so we're covered for a little bit," she said.

Blanchard also opened up about the criticisms she's received from being part of "Girl Meets World" for three seasons. According to her, there are some molds in the show that are not acceptable in the eyes of some of the viewers. "It's so hard because when you're a girl, there are molds you have to fit into in order to be socially acceptable. And even with those molds, people will still find ways to critique you."

"Girl Meets World" season 3 airs Fridays at 8:30 p.m. ET on Disney Channel.
