Bobbi Kristina Brown and Nick Gordon arrive at Tri-Star Pictures' 'Sparkle' premiere at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on August 16, 2012 in Hollywood, California.

Bobbi Kristina Brown's death has been in the spotlight for some time now. Bobby Brown is now hopeful that criminal charges will be brought against Nick Gordon.

In an interview with Pastor T.D Jakes via People, the 47-year-old singer talked about the 2015 death of his daughter. Bobbi was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her home.

"I don't know the specifics of what happened, but as the judge has said, he is legally responsible," Brown said in the interview that will be aired on Sept. 28. "I know some things that happened to my daughter, but it's up to the D.A. now to do his job. Until then, just knowing that he's legally responsible for my daughter's death has given me a bit of calmness to waiting for that D.A. I am definitely hopeful."

Bobbi was the daughter of Bobby and the late pop star Whitney Brown, who was as well found dead submerged in a hotel bathtub in Beverly Hills in February 2012. Bobbi died in a hospice care about six months after being found face-down and unresponsive in the bathtub of her suburban Atlanta townhome in January 2015.

The 26-year-old Gordon has ever since denied any involvement in Bobbi's death. Gordon was found legally liable earlier this month for his partner's death after he failed to appear twice in court for the wrongful lawsuit.

An autopsy conducted on the 22-year-old Bobbi revealed morphine, cocaine, alcohol, and prescription drugs in the body at the time of her death. The medical examiner failed to determine if the death was caused by suicide, homicide, or it was accidental, according to Daily Mail UK.

Bobbi's family blamed Gordon, accusing him in the lawsuit of giving their daughter a toxic cocktail before putting her face down in the water. While Gordon has never been charged in the criminal case, he repeatedly failed to attend court proceedings.

Bobby said that he would be relieved is criminal charges were filed against Gordon. The civil lawsuit was seeking $50 million in damage compensation and punitive damages, besides the return of Bobbi's property. Here is footage for more information on Bobbi's death:
