Xiumin, whose real name is Kim Min Seok, stunned fans across the globe with his significant weight loss. Recently, the 26-year-old K-pop idol revealed he has lost around 8 kilograms since the time he debuted as an EXO member.
In the latest episode of MBC's "Star Show 360," the EXO member presided the segment dubbed "My Little EXO TV." There, Xiumin revealed his personal method for weightloss, stressing that he stays in shape by strictly not eating snacks in between meals.
"I take a walk in the morning for an hour and return home to have breakfast," Xiumin revealed, as translated by The Kpop Herald. "Diligence and perseverance are vital for following the diet routine."
Xiumin added that he does not eat for four hours before having lunch. After lunch, the Kpop idol abstains from food for an additional four hours before having an early supper. He made sure that he has not eaten anything for at least four hours before heading to bed.
By doing this for about a month, Xiumin did not gain any weight and has shed at least some pounds. The singer-turned-actor stressed that he does not believe in skipping meals, as it may bring harm to one's health.
Xiumin debuted as the seventh member of South Korean-Chinese boy group EXO. He made his musical theatre debut in the 2015's S.M. Entertainment musical "School OZ," where he successfully portrayed the character of Aquila
The EXO member then debuted as an actor by playing a supporting role in the 2015 film "Seondal: The Man Who Sells the River." He then landed his first lead role opposite actress Kim So Eun in the hit web drama "Falling For Challenge."
Xiumin recently lent his voice to the ending theme song of SBS's "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo," titled "For You," with his fellow EXO member Chen and Baekhyun, who is starring in the drama, All Kpop reported. The said ending theme song was released on Aug. 24.
