"Game of Thrones" Season 6 featured a stronger and fiercer Sansa Stark who was pivotal in Jon Snow's victory against Ramsay Bolton and his army. Recently, the hit HBO TV series' cast member Sophie Turner channeled her character to call out a journalist who mocked Emma Watson for her United Nations speech.
Turner was not hesitant to share her thoughts on social media over a newspaper column published on The Sun about the "Harry Potter" actress. British journalist Rod Liddle attempted to make light of Watson's UN speech where the young star called for the review of campus sexual assault policies.
The "Game of Thrones" cast member channeled her inner Sansa when she took to Twitter to respond to a social media post about the issue. Twitter user Natasha Richardson uploaded a screenshot of the said newspaper article and conveyed her anger towards the British journalist.
Turner defended her fellow actress from Liddle's remarks that questioned Watson's credibility to share her opinions on serious topics given her profession as an actress. Similar to how the journalist belittled the "Harry Potter" star, Turner compared Liddle's intelligence and eloquence against Watson whom she stated is at a higher level than that of the journalist.
In other news, Turner teased some of the exciting events that fans can expect from the upcoming seventh season of "Game of Thrones." In an interview with Entertainment Tonight during the 2016 Emmy Awards' red carpet event, the actress hinted of a crazy yet amazing scene that involves Daenerys' dragons.
Meanwhile, an earlier interview with E! News revealed Turner's thoughts about the impending end of the HBO series. The actress has been a part of the series since its first season and saying goodbye to the show will mark a sad moment in her professional life. She stated, "It's been my life since I was 13, so I'm pretty sad about it."
