Princess Charlotte stole the hearts of many fans during her first official engagement at a children's party held during the royal family's Canadian tour. The little princess showed off her fashionable side in a cute dress and an adorable hand-me-down cardigan from Prince George.
Royal watchers were enthralled when videos and photos of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with children Princess Charlotte and Prince George enjoying a children's party were unveiled. The royal family attended a special children's event for military families held in Victoria, Canada on Sept. 29, Thursday.
The 16-month old royal toddler wore a pale blue hand-smocked dress from the Spanish clothing line Pepa & Co., E! News reported. To complete Princess Charlotte's children's party look, she also wore a pair of blue UFO Mary Jane shoes, white socks and an Amaia Kids blue hair bow.
However, it was Princess Charlotte's dark blue cardigan that captured the attention of many royal watchers. The knitted blue long-sleeved top is a hand-me-down cardigan from her brother Prince George.
The three-year-old prince wore the said Amaia blue cardigan when Prince William brought Prince George to meet his then newborn sister at the hospital. Royal fans may recall the father-and-son posing in front of the hospital steps in 2015 in a matching blue sweater fashion ensemble.
The children's clothing line is co-owned by Amaia Arrieta. In an interview with People magazine, she expressed her happiness in seeing Prince George's blue cardigan on Princess Charlotte.
To have Princess Charlotte wear something from Prince George's closet is a cute and symbolic gesture, according to the Spanish designer. She told the publication, "It's so lovely and exciting to see our pieces enjoyed and worn in different ways."
Kensington Palace took to Twitter to share several pictures showing Prince George and Princess Charlotte having a fun time at the children's party. One of the images depicted the young princess' reaction to a bunny, as well as a shot of Prince George with a cute smile on his face.
