New iPad Pro models will be cheap; Release date in March 2017

Apple is expected to start 2017 with a slew of tablets, likely headlined by the iPad Pro Mini and the iPad Mini 5. According to reliable tipster and KGI analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, there is a possibility that three tablets could be out by the first quarter of 2017.

The third tablet in the mix is with reference to the iPad Pro 2, a device that is also eagerly awaited by techies. That said, there will be three iPads debuting – a 12.9, a 10.5 and 9.7-inch versions, MacRumors reported.

If so, this could be something to look forward to for folks who want to see the next iteration of the iPad Pro. From the mix, it seems that the iPad Pro 2 will likely be the 12.9-inch model, something that could come in handy for commercial and educational use.

Among the key features of the 12.9-inch iPad, Pro would include faster, screen zooming, scrolling, and panning, all made possible with a powerful processor speculated to be an A10x SoC at the least, Bloomberg reported.

While that could make sense for the iPad Pro line, it is worth noting that Ming did not mention anything about a possible iPad Mini 5 coming. This could actually be the iPad Pro Mini which may come with a slightly lower A9x chip.

If so, this would affirm previous rumors that Apple may be integrating the iPad Mini line with the iPad Pro variants. Despite its fair share of users, the Cupertino company could be downsizing its product line by combining some of their techs.

This is something that has yet to be confirmed though doing so allows Apple to whittle down product focus and deliver better-performing tablets. The iPad Pro Mini will carry features a tad less than what the iPad Pro 2 may have to offer.

According to various takes, the iPad Pro 2 may put the speculated powerful chips to good use with a higher and faster-performing display plus better interface with the Apple Pencil. To make it thinner there is also a chance that the Cupertino company may do away with the headphone jacks and make use of wireless Bluetooth headsets or their patented AirPods.

Apple is expected to reveal all this by March 2017, a trio of tablets which should become a hot topic in the coming months. For the meantime, check out the video below showing some concepts for the iPad Pro 2.
