"Game of Thrones" actor Kristian Nairn got from his mother a surprise that is pertinent to the role he played in HBO's massive hit. On a recent visit to his mother, he found a doorstop that spelled out "Hodor" in a doorway. He captured it and shared on Instagram on Sept. 27.
Nairn portrayed Bran Stark's ever faithful buddy, Hodor who dramatically died in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 to save the life of his master and other friends. Fans of the fantasy series were heartbroken when his character died at the hands of wights while carrying out the "Hold the door" mandate. Many are still traumatized by Hodor's demise, but Nairn's mother has her way of using it to give her son a good laugh.
Hodor-themed doorstops were a hit in the market following the character's death scene in the drama series. They come in various versions. Some have his image, while others are with a 3D-printed Hodor figurine.

Among them are Red Priestess Melisandre, Theon Greyjoy, Jaime Lannister, Brienne of Tarth, Davos Seaworth, Cersei Lannister and Jorah Mormont, according to the Season 7 death pool of TV Line.
