Logan will serve as the last Wolverine spin-off starring Hugh Jackaman and Patrick Stewart and directed by James Mangold.

The third "Wolverine" film is finally taking form and new teaser materials have been revealed, keeping fans on the lookout for any spoilers. Among the biggest surprises released so far is Patrick Stewart's transformation into a much older Professor Charles Xavier.

The upcoming movie, officially titled "Logan," is said to be different to the previous "Wolverine" movies. The tone of the move will have a more Western feel, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

An excerpt of the script released by director James Mangold indicates that the movie is not for viewers who want a "hyper choreographed, gravity defying, city-block destroying" CGI fest.

"In this flick, people get hurt or killed when shit falls on them. They will get just as hurt or just as killed if they get hit with something big and heavy," Mangold adds.

The script also gives a small peek into how Wolverine will be when fans see him again. As this will be Hugh Jackman's last outing as the Adamantium-clawed hero, viewers will see more of the character's humanity.

"As for our hero, well, he's older now and it's clear his abilities aren't what they once were," Mangold reveals. "He's fading on the inside and his diminished healing factor keeps him in a constant state of chronic pain - hence, booze as a painkiller."

"Logan" is speculated to be inspired for an X-Men comic book titled "Old Man Logan." In this timeline, Logan is a retired superhero with a wife and children. He goes on a cross-country roadtrip with Hawkeye to fulfill a mission that will give Logan enough to pay rent to the villains that are running his town.

Given how the story is told in the comics, many speculate that the hand holding Logan's in the poster is actually that of his own child.

Years also pass for Stewart's Professor X, who appears drastically aged in a photo revealed by Mangold. Just like Logan, Professor X has also grown old and weary and his powers aren't as efficient as they used to. According to The Wrap, his powers have grown unstable and there are even times when he can no longer remember Logan.

"Logan" will be released in theaters on March 3, 2017.
