The Cleveland Cavaliers secured their second win of the preseason on Saturday but not before withstanding a late run from the Philadelphia 76ers at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland Ohio.

Game Recap:

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving each chipped in 15 points to keep the Cavs' preseason record spotless after two games. The Cavs traded leads with the Sixers through the first 22 minutes of the game, but closed the first half with four unanswered points to take a 51-47 lead at the break.

The Cavs saw their lead ballooned to 11 points, 60-49, after Channing Frye hit a trey at 9:07 mark of the third quarter. But the Sixers responded with a run of their own to keep themselves within striking distance, 73-86, at the end of the third.

The home team had another furious opening run in the final quarter to give themselves a 92-81 lead, but again the resilient Sixers answered back in a strong way to take 105-104 lead with 52 seconds left. However, the Cavs' Markel Brown made a go-ahead basket and then Jordan McRae sunk two free-throws to keep the Sixers at bay for good.

The Cavs shot 45.9 percent from the field and limit the Sixers to just 37 percent FG clip throughout the game.

Top Performers:

Cavs: James and Irving put up strong numbers in limited playing time. LeBron shot 6-for-8 from the field with 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in 17 minutes, while Irving chipped in 3 assists in 19 minutes of action.

Sixers: Joel Embiid continued to impress in his preseason campaign, as he recorded 12 points and 4 rebounds in 13 minutes. The Cavs game marked the third preseason outing for Embiid, who missed the first two years of his NBA career with foot injury.
