Reigning Copa America champions Chile (3-4-2, 11 points) had been struggling to find wins in the ongoing 2018 FIFA World Cup CONMEBOL qualifying tournament. They will try to earn one against lowly squad Peru (2-5-2, 8 points) on Oct. 11, Tuesday at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos in Santiago.

Start Time and Streaming Info

The game starts at 8:30 p.m. UTC-3. It can be viewed live online thru FuboTV.

After going on a 2-0 start to the World Cup qualifiers, Chile had won only once in their last seven games which dropped them to the seventh spot of the 10-team CONMEBOL table. The team is currently on a three-game winless spell and they will look to get out of their rut in this match against fellow struggling squad Peru.

Chile was drubbed by rising contenders Ecuador, 0-3, during the previous matchday on Oct. 6 at the Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa in Quito for their second loss in their last three outings, as per the Mirror.

Right back Antonio Valencia netted the opening goal of the contest at the 19th minute which was immediately followed by another goal from Ferencvaros left back Cristian Ramirez at the 23rd to give the hosts a two-point lead at the break.

Espanyol forward Felipe Caicedo completed the three-goal haul at the 46th minute to give head coach Juan Antonio Pizzi's side their fourth loss in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Peru held erstwhile tourney leaders Argentina to a 2-2 draw at their home field of Estadio Nacional in Lima also on Oct. 6 to go on a two-game unbeaten run, SkySports reported.

Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori opened the scoring for the visitors at the 15th minute before Peru captain Paolo Guerrero managed to equalize the count at the 58th, directing a Miguel Trauco cross past the outstretched arms of Argentina keeper Sergio Romero.

La Albiceleste then took back the lead at the 77th with a goal from Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuaín with the assist this time coming from Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta.

Head coach Ricardo Gareca's squad forced the draw with a successful penalty kick from Sao Paulo winger Christian Cueva with six minutes left before full time.

La Blanquirroja had won only twice so far in the tournament and they will try to take advantage of the Chileans low morale to snatch another win at this moment.

The predicted result is a 1-0 bounce back win for Chile.

Chile starting lineup (4-3-1-2 formation): Bravo; Isla, Roco, Jara, Mena; Aranguiz, Diaz, Vidal; Hernandez; Vargas, Sanchez
