Chris Brown is reportedly hoping for a reconciliation with Rihanna now that she and Drake have split after just weeks of dating. However, Rihanna may not be on board with the idea.
Following her split from Drake on October 10, Rihanna was romantically linked to Brown, who she dated years ago, but according to a new report, Rihanna is simply not interested in taking another shot on a romance with someone from her past.
“She made that mistake and will not return to him romantically,” a source close to the singer told Hollywood Life on October 14. “Could they be friends, could they return and record with each other again? Of course but that is all it is going to be, if Chris has his hopes up he will surely be disappointed in the result.”
On October 9, Rihanna hinted that she was uninterested in dating any of her ex-boyfriends when she proclaimed on Instagram that none of them more married or even in a happy relationship. She then said that she clearly was not the problem in her failed romances.
“None of my exs are married or in happy relationships so it’s safe to say I wasn’t da problem lol,” she wrote.
Rihanna and Brown dated on and off from 2007 to 2013 and appear to have remained somewhat amicable, despite the end of their relationship -- and Brown's infamous and brutal assault. In fact, after her split with Drake, a source told Hollywood Life, “Chris sent her a joking text telling her telling her she could lay on his chest if she needed a rock for support.”
Another Hollywood Life report, Rihanna doesn't see the point in embarking on another relationship and may have given up on love. Although her relationship with Drake is no more, she reportedly feels their connection is incredible. Meanwhile, Drake has been accused of getting close to two models, India Love and Dakota Gonzalez, which has been understandably upsetting for Rihanna.
