Lee Min-Ho and Jun Ji-Hyun star in the SBS drama 'Legend of the Blue Sea.'

With only one month left before "Legend of the Blue Sea" premiere, SBS has dropped the first teaser for the show. The said trailer gave fans a first look at Lee Min-Ho and Jun Ji-Hyun's characters in the upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama.

On Aug. 19, Wednesday, the official Facebook account of SBS posted a 22-long teaser that offers a lens into the show's storyline. It showed the moments after the noble son of a county magistrate, Kim Dam-Lim (Lee), got drowned in the depths of the sea.

It also featured the last mermaid on Earth, Shim Chung (Jun), who arrives in Seoul from the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897). Sim Chung, who struggles to adapt to a human life, meets the genius and cold-blooded swindler, Heo Joon-Jae (Lee), who uses his great looks and wit to trick others.

"The released teaser is just the start as we plan to simultaneously show how Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun have perfectly absorbed into their characters," a member of the production staff told local newsoutlet OSEN, as cited by Soompi. "They will be transformed in a way that is new, fresh, and unlike anything you've seen before."

It came after the entire cast and staff members got together to go over the show's script. The first script reading, which took place in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea on Oct. 8, lasted for more than three hours as it covered the first four episodes of the SBS drama.

"Legend of the Blue Sea" has been getting attention for both its A-list cast and the director Jin Hyeok's previous dramas, which include 2011's "City Hunter" and 2013's "Master's Sun." It also marks the small-screen comeback of Jun and Lee since 2013-2014's "My Love From The Star" and 2013's "The Heirs."

F(x)'s Krystal Jung also confirmed her special appearance in the SBS drama to show support to her former "The Heirs" co-star, All Kpop reported. Not much is known about her role other than the fact that she will most likely show up in the early episode.

"Legend of the Blue Sea" is expected to hit airwaves on Nov. 16. Check out the news preview below for more information:
