The heat is on for Team Green Arrow as they struggle to stay united amidst situations that may tear them apart. Recently, the CW series' showrunner made mention of Oliver's plan to rescue Diggle and Felicity's secrets that may impact the team in "Arrow" Season 5.

"Arrow" Season 5 episode 3 featured Felicity's (Emily Bett Rickards) admission of her involvement in Haven Rock's bombing to Rory (Joe DiNicol). Aired on Oct. 9, Wednesday, the said episode titled "A Matter of Trust" included Felicity's teary confession, the appearance of a "Suicide Squad" character and more. Despite her confession, Team Green Arrow's tech genius is still harboring a few secrets from Oliver (Stephen Amell) and her loved ones.

In a press event, showrunner Guggenheim made mention of Felicity's dilemma and other interesting details that viewers will see in upcoming episodes. Oliver's former fiancée will have to deal with the aftermath of her recent admission given Rory's "very human reaction," Entertainment Weekly quoted the executive producer as saying.

One of Felicity's secrets will also be unveiled with Oliver's discovery of her romantic relationship with Detective Malone (Tyler Ritter). The said scene will happen in episode 5 titled "Human Target," according to the showrunner.

However, Felicity would still need to unveil her Team Green Arrow involvement to her detective beau. At this time, it is still unclear whether Detective Malone will accidentally uncover his girlfriend's link to Arrow or if Felicity will come clean about her secret life. Guggenheim declined to discuss details about the said scene.

Meanwhile, the former couple will soon have a tense encounter over Lyla's (Audrey Marie Anderson) request to get Diggle (David Ramsey) out of prison. Oliver and Felicity will have different reactions to Diggle's rescue plan, according to the showrunner.

In other news, the CW series recently featured the special appearance of a "Suicide Squad" character. In the same press event, Guggenheim recounted the process that he and his team undertook to enable the character's crossover. Deadshot's (Micha el Rowe) inclusion in the said episode was made possible through a special deal that showrunner made with DC Comics, TV Guide quoted the executive producer as saying.
