Perennial powerhouse Manchester United FC (4-3-2, 14 points) will look to get out of their current rut in the 2016-2017 Premier League season as they clash with newly-promoted team Burnley FC (3-5-1, 10 points) at the Old Trafford on Oct. 29, Saturday.

Manchester United has been on a downward spiral since starting the season with three straight wins. It was a promising beginning for new head coach Jose Mourinho's stint at the Old Trafford, but since then the Red Devils were only able to pull off one victory out of six games.

Lackluster performances from some of the club's big names and a host of injuries from key players have stalled United's rise in the standings in what was projected as a championship season for the Manchester outfit after three years of being away from the title.

In their most recent game, United was crushed by Mourinho's former team Chelsea, 0-4, at the Stamford Bridge last Sunday, The Guardian reported.

Pedro, Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard, and N'Golo Kanté scored a goal each for the Blues, in the first, 21st, 62nd, and 70th minutes respectively, to hand the Red Devils a humiliating defeat.

Big signings Zlatan Ibrahimović and Paul Pogba continued with their declining plays while Eric Bailly was stretchered off the field with a knee injury in the 52nd minute. Bailly will reportedly be out for two months after suffering the lateral knee ligament damage.

Meanwhile, Burnley snapped a two-game losing skid after nipping Everton, 2-1, at the Turf Moor last Saturday, as per Sports Mole.

Welsh forward Sam Vokes opened the scoring for head coach Sean Dyche's side in the 39th minute before Congolese midfielder Yannick Bolasie leveled the count in the 58th for the Toffees.

The game looked like it would end in a 1-1 tie, but Canadian striker Scott Arfield buried the winning goal right at the stroke of full-time to snatch the win and three points away from the visitors.

Prediction and Predicted Lineup

The predicted result is a 2-0 bounce back win for Manchester United.

Manchester United starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): De Gea; Valencia, Blind, Smalling, Shaw; Carrick, Herrera; Mata, Pogba, Rashford; Ibrahimović

Burnley starting lineup (4-4-1-1 formation): Heaton; Lowton, Keane, Mee, Ward; Gudmundsson, Marney, Hendrick, Kightly; Arfield; Vokes
