Google Nexus 7 is said to be a game changer for Google devices as it would introduce powerful hardware specifications and new OS for improved user experience. However, tech giant behind the idea is said to be having a change of heart regarding the highly anticipated tablet.
There is no doubt anymore that Google is working on a tablet with an innovated formula that is aimed to compete or even go beyond the market performance of Apple iPad Pro and other leading brands. It can be remembered that many fans were anticipating the latest Google Nexus 7 debut during the recently concluded Google's October 4 Event but to no avail.
As a result of such non-appearance, various rumors and speculations surfaced online regarding the potential abandoning of Google Nexus 7 brand, in favor of new brand. According to Forbes, Nexus brands, which includes Google Nexus 7, will likely be terminated in favor of Google Pixel. This rebranding is a leap to be taken by Google as they would take head on major players in the mobile and tablet industry.
There is no confirmation about the rebranding of Google Nexus 7 to Google Pixel, but as the report would confirm, the phone will be made by HTC, but still the leading search engine company will keep tight control over design and manufacturing process.
Still, there is no confirmation of the rebranding of Google Nexus 7 coming from its manufacturer, but some information were already leaked online pointing to its potential specifications. Android Police reported that the upcoming Google Nexus 7 might have a 7-inch display accompanied by a 4GB of RAM. Serial leaker Evan Blass also shared via social media that the Google Nexus 7 tablet will likely arrive end of the year, probably before Christmas as most reports online would contend.
Apart from the hardware specifications, it is much talked about in the social media and other news outlets that Google Nexus 7 will not run Android Nougat. PC Advisor shared that Andromeda will be the OS of Google Nexus 7, a mash-up of the Chrome OS and Android platforms.
And such OS is a perfect fit the tablets speculated hardware composition which includes Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and Adreno 530 GPU. But still, these things would remain rumors until the official of Google Nexus 7 or Google Pixel is confirmed by the tech-giant trying to conquer another aspect of the tech industry.
