The gruesome death of Steven Yeun in "The Walking Dead" Season 7's premiere episode drew mixed attentions, wherein Fox UK was even forced to cut a few scenes.
Accordingly, Fox UK decided to tone down a shred of gory detail so it deleted the episode where Negan was smashing Abraham and Glenn's head to death with the use of a baseball bat and the last line of Glenn after he was unimaginably smashed. Still, Ofcom reported that the Regulatory Board of Fox Network Group received complaints by viewers due to some of the scenes.
In an interview by Entertainment Weekly with Yeun right after the episode was aired, the actor said that he has not fully processed the idea of leaving the show yet. He said that everything he did in the show will long be remembered. While he talks about how his character ended in the show, Jeffrey Dean, who plays the role of Negan, talks about how long he will be staying in "the Walking Dead" series.
Nevertheless, "The Walking Dead" Season 7 episode 2, titled "The Cell," promises more surprises. Spoilers say that a new character, King Ezekiel, will be introduced. He hates Negan as much as Nick does so The Kingdom can rely on him in case Nick fails in his resolve to kill their enemy. He is expected to fully appear in episode 3.
The next episode focuses on Carol and Morgan following their run-in with The Saviors and the strange men on horses during the Season 6 finale. It will also highlight her recuperation from multiple gunshots and Morgan as her caretaker.
Meanwhile, "The Walking Dead" Season 7 episode 3 will have Daryl Dixon face Negan as the latter will be brought to the Sanctuary. Dwight will also be sent to a mission to bring back the runaway member of the group.
"The Walking Dead" Season 7 episode 2 will be aired on Oct. 30, 2016.
