NBA latest news: Kevin Garnett joining TNT’s ‘Inside The NBA’ raises lots of questions

Kevin Garnett has agreed to join TNT’s “inside theNBA” as a special contributor though there are some who have reservations on the move.

TNT’s “Inside the NBA” will have a new face for the coming season with reports that recently retired Kevin Garnett will be joining the crew as a special contributor. Though the move is common for established athletes, there were critics who gave their takes on the addition of the future NBA Hall of Famer.

Garnett has been successful on the hardwood but has also been known to control the things that media can know about him. Given his stock, the move to include him on TNT ‘Inside the NBA’ hardly comes as a surprise given his rich experience which may become useful for game analysis and scenarios.

The TNT crew hold high regard for the 40-year-old retired NBA player, something that should ease things a bit as far as work is concerned. Garnett is expected to be brought in remotely on occasion to offer his own opinions and takes.

Garnett has been known to be a jolly person and is expected to blend in well with other former NBA players and personalities. There are however some reserved on the move, highlighting his past and believing his on-court antics that include name-calling could suddenly factor in.

Other NBA players who had to deal with the seemingly childish nature of Garnett include Joakim Noah, Carmelo Anthony, and Tim Duncan, guys who he verbally jabbed at unprovoked, the NY Post reported.

There was also a cruel dish by Garnett on Charlie Villanueva who is inflicted with ‘alopecia unversalis’ which causes full body hair loss. Villanueva claims that Garnett mocked him and told him he looked like a cancer patient. While it seems to be severely below the belt, it remains to be seen if these allegations become a point against the retired all-star.

Most of the allegations happened during Garnett’s prime and a lot may have changed since Garnett decided to call it a career. Part of the challenge to hit it well with the TNT crew is to work through adversity and hopefully handle it professionally, CBS reported.
