‘Scream Queens’ Season 2 spoilers: Hester’s freedom spells more shocking kills?

'Scream Queens' stars Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd, Keke Palmer, Lea Michele, Taylor Lautner, Emma Roberts, John Stamos, Jamie Lee Curtis and writer Ian Brennan attend Comic-Con International 2016.

Lea Michele's Hester Ulrich has joined C.U.R.E. Institute's hospital staff, which means the ex Red Devil is no longer confined within the walls of her cell and is free to go around the mental health facility like the rest of the staff. If anything, this certainly does not bode well for the Chanels on "Screen Queens" Season 2.

At this point, it is unclear what Hester's position and job description would be. Also, it wasn't revealed why Dean Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) gave Hester her freedom back. All that was shown was that they agreed on something-as to what, it remains a mystery. Considering that she has zero medical background, it's likely she would take part in the facility as a student just like the Chanels, instead of actually working at the institute.

With everything that's been going on at the mental institute-such as Chad Radwell's (Glen Powell) shocking death, thing can only get more intense especially with the Hester situation. "Halloween night is upon us," Hester tells Dean Munsch and Denise Hemphill, TVLine reports. And massacres tends to happen in this hospital on Halloween night. I hope you two are prepared, because I have a feeling that this year is going to be a doozy."

Meanwhile, speaking of Chad, there's been a lot of talk regarding the character's fate. For the most part, some characters don't always stay dead on the show and there are hopes that Chad's death might be a farce.

However, "Scream Queens" creator Ryan Murphy confirms to E! News that Chad is definitely dead-that is he is "dead and gone" and will not re-appear on the show. As to the decision to kill off the Dicky Dollar scholar, Murphy says that while he loves Powell and finds him funny, he needed to kill his character as he increases the stakes on the show.

Certainly, this says a lot about what's coming to "Scream Queens" Season 2 in the coming show. With Murphy "ramping up the stakes," there are definitely more shocking kills and no character is going to be safe-even fan favorites! Murphy adds that "someone major" is going to get the boot in every episode.

"Scream Queens" Season 2 airs every Wednesday on FOX.
