‘Suicide Squad’ extended cut release date: 13 minutes of unseen footage

Just like the way they did it with 'Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice', Warner Brothers will be publishing 'Suicide Squad' extended cut written and directed by David Ayer on home video.

On their official Twitter account, the team revealed the news of the release of extended cut with a new trailer crowned by the caption "#SuicideSquad Extended Cut. Spread the word."

This 13-minute of additional footage is largely speculated to reveal a more heinous side of the villain's team. In fact, fans can explore this extended cut of the film on Digital HD on 28th November while its Blu-ray version is going to hit the minds of the film followers on 5th December 2016.

The Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack will incorporate the theatrical as well as an extended cut of the Suicide Squad. It is rumored that extended version will be available to own on Digital HD Collider.com reported.

The extended cut contains new footage that was not included in the film's original theatrical release Yahoo! Movies pointed out. It is highly speculated from the trailer that this extended cut will revolve mostly around the Joker and Harley Quinn. A glimpse of the photos gives a clear hint that viewers will see the more of this abusive relationship between Jared Leto (the Joker) and Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn).

In the original theatrical version of Suicide Squad, fans complained about that footage dedicated to Jared Leto and Margot Robbie's relationship was too short to give an idea of the relationship. Thet Theatrical version of the movie failed to reveal the key aspect of their relationship and Quinn's devotion for the Joker. Their characters were not given any scope to grow as an individual entity. Leto at the time of film's release said that director David Ayer has shot more footage than what was used in the film.

Now the whole clan of fans and followers of the Suicide Squad is excited to watch the extended cut of the movie to behold what is waiting for them in those 13 minutes of suspense.
