As the highly anticipated "Spider Man: Homecoming" from the Marvel Cinematic Universe has wrapped, the next question deals with the trailer.

After his scene-stealing stint in Marvel's epic "Captain America: Civil War" fans have held their breath in anticipation of the legendary wallcrawler's solo film as part of the same universe with the Avengers.

The movie is confirmed to be graced by the top Marvel Cinematic Universe characters. Robert Downey, Jr is confirmed to his role as Tony Stark aka Iron Man and speculation is rife that Chris Evans wants to join the film.

Because of the high demand for Spider Man updates, there have been many impostors posting fake trailers for the new film. However, the first official footage was only leaked in San Diego Comic Con.

The closed-door viewing was witnessed by Games Radar which provided some clues.

"The footage opens with a retro-style intro complete with colourful, angular shapes taken straight from the '80s floating around, and a Joan Jett soundtrack. Old school photos of Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Steve Rogers, and the rest of the MCU's heroes fly across the screen," the article revealed.

According to GR, the opening sets the tone for the entire movie. It is largely set in high school, way before Peter Parker has established himself as Spider Man. "They all had to start somewhere before becoming superheroes" is the underlying theme.

The big question is when will the fans get to see the trailer? The easy answer is in December based on the hypothesis of Spider Man News. They propose that since Marvel's May release, "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" already gave a sneak peek, then "Spider Man: Homecoming" trailer with a July release date could come two months later.

This is not a sure cycle as other July releases like "Ant Man" and "Captain America: The First Avenger" were both July releases but had their trailers debut in the Superbowl of those years.

Spider Man News pointed out that there are blockbuster movies coming out in December and many suspect that it would be included in the Star Wars spinoff, "Rogue One." That seems logical, but SMN reminds that this is not exclusively a Marvel Studios film.

Sony has retained the rights to fund and market the film and they could debut the trailer on their own December offering, "Passengers" starring Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence, two A-list actors who have taken on Marvel Comics roles.
