Visitors try out the game 'Sims 4' at the Electronic Arts stand at the 2014 Gamescom gaming trade fair on August 14, 2014 in Cologne, Germany.

"The Sims 4 City Living" introduced several gameplay features, as well as three new careers with unique tasks. Latest news indicate that game developers may be looking at introducing additional career assignments in future DLCs.

Avid gamers of Electronic Arts' life simulation game "The Sims 4" now have a bigger in-game world to explore with the addition of the city San Myshuno. Introduced in the recently released "City Living" expansion pack, the said DLC added apartments, festivals and special job assignments for three new careers.

With the career assignments, gamers were given the choice to complete the said tasks, as well as explore the city. In an interview with iDigital Times, game producer Grant Rodiek described "City Living's" job tasks as a hybrid feature.

Unlike the daily job progression requirements in "The Sims 4 Get to Work," the game's new expansion pack gave players a more flexible gameplay experience. Rodiek commented, "It's ... not as involved and as minute-to-minute as active careers from Get to Work."

Similar to "The Sims 3" Opportunities feature, the "City Living" career assignments allowed gamers to explore interesting Sim stories as they progress through specific professions. Rodiek also highlighted how game developers were able to create an expansion pack that contained a fusion of "more active gameplay and more integrated story gameplay."

Electronic Arts' latest expansion pack for "The Sims 4" can also serve as a basis for potential future game enhancements, according to Rodiek. With its new career tasks, game developers may introduce similar game elements in upcoming DLCs.

In other news, players may soon enjoy another in-game event that will boost a Sim's skills, as well as delay needs. Leaked game files found in "The Sims 4" latest patch included details for another Triple Boost Week, according to SimsVIP.

Sims are set to earn triple rewards and satisfaction points while reducing a game character's physical needs. The week-long event is expected to happen during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. However, members of "The Sims" team have yet to confirm the said event.

Meanwhile, "The Sims 4" new expansion pack "City Living" was released on Nov. 1 for PC and MAC. Watch the game's trailer below:
