Ubisoft is now giving away "Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon" for free in the Ubi30-dedicated Ubisoft Club official site as a tribute to the 30th anniversary of the renowned game publishing company.
The free copy of "Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon" can be claimed by logging into the UPlay games portal in order to access the Ubi30 game promotion, as reported by Gamespot. After logging in, head on to the Ubisoft Club official site and click the "GET THE GAME NOW" button and accept the terms and conditions. Successfully following the instructions displayed for installing the game will make "Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon" appear in the UPlay library.
Ubisoft has released different titles all for free in the previous months, according to AttackOfTheFanboy. "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" was the first game released for free in June, followed by the first "Splinter Cell" game in July. Ubisoft released "Rayman Origins" in August, "The Crew" was released in September and "Beyond Good & Evil" followed in October. All titles are available only in the course of their designated months and will not be obtainable next month.
The Ubisoft 30th anniversary game promotion will last until December. News and announcements have yet to reveal the last free game in the 30th-anniversary lineup.
"Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon" was released in May 2013 for PC, PlayStation 3 via PlayStation Network and Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade. '"Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon" is the stand-alone expansion to "Far Cry 3" and the eighth installment in the whole Far Cry franchise. The game was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Shanghai.
The Far Cry spin-off is a first-person, retro-futuristic open world mixed with parodied action films and video game references from the 80's. The player controls protagonist Sargent Rex Colt, a Mark IV cyber-commando in the year 2007, according to the Steam description of the game. "Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon" spawned a sequel titled "Trials of the Blood Dragon", which released on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
