Wales, currently ranked 11th in the world by FIFA and the favorite to take the outright World Cup qualifying berth in Group D, is undefeated after three games in the tournament. However, it has only won once as the team was forced into a draw by Austria and Georgia in their last two games, putting into jeopardy their outright qualification to Russia in 2018.

In their last game, the Dragons were stunned by 122nd-ranked Georgia to a 1-1 tie in a match held also at their home ground in Cardiff on Oct. 9, as per ESPN.

Gareth Bale took care of the opening goal as the Real Madrid winger struck in the 10th minute off an assist by Crystal Palace midfielder Joe Ledley.

Georgia managed to equalize the game in the 57th with a goal from midfielder Tornike Okriashvili. Both sides went scoreless after that as head coach Chris Coleman's team settled for another share of a point in the standings.

Meanwhile, Serbia currently sits on top of the Group D table. The team is tied on points with the Republic of Ireland but has a higher goal difference to take first place at the moment.

Serbia is coming off a 3-2 nipping of Austria at their home ground of Red Star Stadium in Belgrade also on Oct. 9, BBC Sport reported.

Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic netted a brace in the sixth and 23rd minutes to give the home squad a 2-1 lead, sandwiching the goal of Austria's Marcel Sabitzer in the 15th.

Basel forward Marc Janko equalized the game again in the 62nd minute but Serbia attacking midfielder Dusan Tadic, who assisted on both Mitrovic goals, netted the winner in the 74th.
