Rumors are flying that "The Big Bang Theory" Season 11 is cancelled and a spinoff is in the works.
Reports claimed that the spinoff will focus on Sheldon's childhood. The story will narrate Sheldon's genius side and how he developed his obsessive-compulsive tendencies as well as his germophobia. Sheldon has revealed some stories in his childhood like having a religious mother and an alcoholic father as well as his twin sister.
The Sheldon prequel may be similar to "Malcolm in the Middle". None of the present cast will appear in the spinoff as one of the reasons for the new show is due to the high cost per episode of "The Big Bang Theory" with the three main characters racking up to $1 million per episode.
Below are some of the ideas for "The Big Bang Theory" spinoff other than Sheldon's childhood.
Family life of Howard and Bernadette (plus Raj)
One of the plot lines that is gaining attention in the present "The Big Bang Theory" is Howard and Bernadette. Their family life is quite interesting since Howard is Jew and Bernadette is Catholic. Once, Howard asked how they will raise their child. This opens a lot of plot ideas. Add Raj in the mix and his bromance with Howard.
Howard Wolowitz childhood
Howard's childhood is also pretty interesting growing up in a Jewish house. There will be a lot of comedy with his mother Debbie. One of the major plotlines, of course, is Howard losing his virginity to his cousin.
Leonard and Penny's married life
The main plot of the original "The Big Bang Theory" is Leonard and Penny getting together. Now that they are married, it also opens new plotlines. They could move back in Nebraska and live the farm life with Penny's dysfunctional family.
Leonard's childhood
Leonard also has an interesting childhood growing up with intelligent parents. Some of the stories that can be explored are Leonard feeling unloved, overshadowed by his brilliant siblings, and being experimented or studied by his own mother.
