Hogwarts' most loved headmaster Albus Dumbledore returns in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" sequel.

A younger version of Albus Dumbledore, the "Harry Potter" series most loved Hogwarts headmaster, will make a comeback in the wizarding world of J.K. Rowling. Dumbledore's appearance has been confirmed for the second movie of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them".

According to a report from The Mirror, David Yates has revealed casting is currently underway for the "Fantastic Beasts" sequel. He also confirmed that a younger Dumbledore will make an appearance and will be working alongside Eddie Redmayne's character Newt Scamander.

On the other hand, movie scriptwriter J.K. Rowling recently revealed to the media that she already has someone in mind to play the young Dumbledore's character. However, nothing is final yet.

"I have, of course, thought about this. I do have a name. I do have someone in mind, but I can't say it. Because if that person doesn't get cast, then the person who does get cast will blame me forever for having said it, won't they? So, I'm going to just keep quiet," she teased.

With Dumbledore's part confirmed, fans are curious to his role in the second film of "Fantastic Beasts".

According to Time, J.K. Rowling explained that upcoming "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" movies will be about the relationships among the characters such as Gellert Grindelwald, a dark wizard, who will be played by Hollywood actor Johnny Depp.

She also added that the younger Dumbledore will be "openly gay" in the sequel.

"I can't tell you everything I would like to say because this is obviously a five-part story so there is lots to unpack in that relationship. You will see Dumbledore as a younger man and quite a troubled man - he wasn't always the sage... We'll see him at that formative period of his life," J.K. Rowling said.

Dumbledore's sexuality in the books had long been confirmed. In a 2007 interview at Carnegie Hall, the "Harry Potter" series author made a big revelation about Dumbledore's character whom she always thought as gay having fallen in love with fellow wizard and friend, Gellert Grindelwald.

"I always thought of Dumbledore as gay. Dumbledore fell in love with Grindelwald, and that added to his horror when Grindelwald showed himself to be what he was," she said.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is a five-part sequel, Warner Bros. Pictures announced. The first of the five films will be shown this month, while the second movie is scheduled to be released in November 2018.
